The buzz over the last two weeks has been that Shilpa Shetty wants to associate herself with the IPL. Now it is apparent that Shilpa and her beau Raj Kundra have entered into a mega deal with the Rajasthan Royals franchisee owners Emerging Media for the stake in the winner’s circle.It is estimated that upto a 100 crores have been staked by this association on an IPL team that was incidentally poorest in terms of raking in a franchisee.

With Shilpa’s association, the Royals become the third team after the Shah Rukh Khan- Juhi Chawla’s Red Chillies bought the Kolkata Knight Riders and Preity Zinta and Ness Wadia bought into the Kings XI Punjab.The Rajasthan Royals did impressively well under coach cum captain Shane Warne even without stars from Bollywood as well as established stars from the cricket world. Now, they receive a huge boost as Shilpa is set to wow audiences and woo loyals for the Royals with a 12% stake!
