Women’s Corporate League is the new addition to the Bangladesh Football Federation’s new calendar for the year 2009 unveiled on Tuesday. The BFF has taken the new initiative with a view to popularising the game among the girls.
The BFF on Monday had decided that the football season will start from October and finish in September. Accordingly, the federation has announced the programmes up to December of the current year. The schedules for next January to September will be declared at the end of the year.
The new calendar is as follows:
February 2009: National women’s championship (ongoing)
March 2009: Super Cup, PM Cup in Nepal, U-13 Football Championship, National Club Championship, National Women’s Super Championship
April 2009: Independence Cup, National Club Championship, National School Championship, Senior Division Football League, Women’s Corporate League.
May 2009: JFA Cup U-15 Football, Pioneer Football League, AFC Challenge Cup Group A qualifiers, AFC President’s Cup, AFC U-13.
June-July 2009: Futsal (1st & 2nd division teams).
August 2009: B League players’ registration, 2nd Division Football League,
September 2009: B League teams’ preparation.
October 2009: Federation Cup, National Football Championship, Divisional Women’s Football Championship, Dhaka Girls’ School Football, AFC U-16 qualifiers, AFC Futsal.
November 2009: B League, BFF International Football Tournament, AFC U-19 qualifiers.
December 2009: B League, SAFF Championship.
